Tamer Hosny Has A Million Twitter Followers And Other Lies

Tamer Hosny does not tweet often, and he has an unverified twitter account--unlike most celebrities who verify their twitter account to protect.

Yesterday, brother Hosny has announced he now has a million follower on Twitter! But it does not seem those are real people. No other Arab celebrity have reached the million fan rank--I think Haifa Wahbe has the most followers  and she really engaged people.

Here's the Intel on this twitter bullshit. New Egypt Consulting, a firm that does social mega bookmarking and  SEO has announced that Tamer has purchased those followers with money. In the blog post the company states if you look at the followers, they are based in the States, and only a month ago,

1. June 3rd, 2012, Tamer Twitter page has 78 thousand followers
2. July 1st, 2012, Tamer Twitter page has 240 thousand followers
3. And by July 15th, 2012, Tamer has reached the million follower mark--that's 300 percent increase?

In June has had only 18 tweets, and up to July 15th he had only 8 tweets. Plus has has not been in the news and as far as we know he did no go to Tahrir Square to cry again. 

If Tamer wanted to maintain that number, he has to pay up some serious cash, as those are rented followers. And one more thing none of these followers is going to be re-tweeting or replying to anything Tamer Hosny says, that's if he had anything to say. 

This is not the first time, Tamer Hosny has been accused of paying for love, it's a long established rumor now that most people who faint at his concerts are for hire.

I cannot help it, but I still cannot stomach this guy anymore. He might have recorded some big songs--in his world, but he is still a tiny little guy. He traveled to Hollywood trying to get the attention of people around the Arab World, no body seemed to tune in.

Now he has a concert in Morocco, where he saw a big and warm reception. I will not argue with that, he is a star but those who got no education and those who are glued to their TV screens. He did hold a pres conference while there. Remember the old Tamer would never talk to anybody and he would never take questions. He now has to blame the humble boy game.

He danced on the stage and tried to pretend everything is ok. Here's the sad reality, he will not sell a big concert in Egypt. He won't, he might pack it with his buddies and friends for free, but few would pay a dime to see him. His concert was free for the masses in Morocco. He even went to Jordan for another concert and spoke to the pres.

It looks like the uni-brows are back this summer. Some journalist actually said something pretty cool. "I wish you have not made your movies" Tamer tried to play it cool and saying he made money! This is not about art anymore, he is all about the money, little misguided teenagers and zombies.

I Never Liked Razan "رزان" And I Was Right Not To

Razan El Maghraby "رزان المغربي" came into the spot light on TV as a TV personality, then she got into the game shows, then she started to sing and act. So she was sort of all over the place. The reasons for me not liking her is that I have felt she was a fake and that she has an elitism problem. She always came across as this girl who she thinks of herself as better than most.

And she was always selling the bold card, as I am cool I do whatever I want. Take for example, the music video below when she shocked the system with doing a lot of bedroom acts. Not just that, the song is infused with sexually suggestive language that was too obvious. Many hates that song of hers and called it garbage. I think Tamer Hosny was involved in the song, he wrote and composed this horny song.

But then two years ago Razan was in deep trouble, a leaked video of hers with some dude as she speaks sex and pretend to perform oral sex on that guy who was drinking beer. Razan's video got leaked and her career seems to have ended at the moment.

No TV is picking her up again. While she has apologized about the video and defended herself. What I also hate when these people get caught they use the tired excuse, "I am a girl from the East who respects her culture"! Oh yeah people. they always say that.

Razan's video went viral and everybody even those who speak ill of her have seen it, my beef with her is not just the video, it's that she is a person who is out of touch.

Shaza, The Second Most Hated Egyptian Singer

Poor Shaza, a young pop star who had more than couple of hits and a movie that made some money. At first she supported Mubarak and kept supporting him. He was shown the door, but Shaza kept talking smack about the revolution. Then her mom pased away and that was sad, Shaza did a song for her late mother on Mother's day--it was decent. She kep a low profile and did couple of concerts in colleges and clubs around Egypt. But then two weeks ago, Shaza went to visit with army officers who have been injured most recently due to the clashes with protesters. Shaza picked a fight and called the protesters fifth column! Then today she took part of a protest in support of the army, the young singer turned out to the event and spoke. I wish she has not. In her speech Shaza said that "any dog(think pig in Western culture) who wants to pick on the army, we are the ones that will kill him/her--some reports have her say, that we shall cut his/her arm" To which even the people who have been supporting the army started calling the singer names and asking her to stop talking. She was starting a strife in an really unstable place. Shaza then said something confusing, "I support the army but not the SCAF", which contradicts what she has been saying for the past 14 months or so. Why do celebrities feel the urge to dabble into politics? I do not think that Shaza is a mean person, I just happen to think that she is way over her head here. There might be some misogyny involved her Shaza is the second most hated Egyptian star at the moment, the first spot goes to Tamer Hosny. Shaza message to her fans : رساله من شذي لجمهورها

The Crappiest Syrian Singer Rejects Being Likened To Tamer Hosny

Ali Al Deek, the one hit wonder folks singer from Syria had an interview lately. In the interview he talked about many things, but the one thin that stuck out to me is how this once popular singer refuses being compared to Egyptian pop star has been Tamer Hosny. Ali was reported to have said, "we both have different styles and have our own fans base"

This is funny because in Tamer Hosny's planet, he is still the biggest and most successful name in the entertainment business. For a B list singer to reject being likened to Tamer Hosny is funny and must be humbling to Tamer. Tamer of course knows he sucks in Arabia, so now he is staying to pull a stunt. Tamer seems to have moved to the States now where he is chasing after hasbeens of American entertainment to make duets with.

Say what you say about Tamer, he does not give up ever. I wish he was doing the right thing though, but if he does not giving up being the lame entertainer he has become, I think he should just hang his microphone. I think he will benefit from revisiting his past and learning a thing or two from the time when he was hunger and had to work for everything.

Among the things, Ali said in his interview is that he respects Asalah and values her talent, but on Syria he thinks she is wrong to take that anti regime stand.

Mohammed Mounir Screws Over Shando

Shando is a popular singer in Egypt, I liked couple of his songs and I have seen movie where he appeared. He is cool, hip and trendy. Shando wanted to sing with the master of Egyptian songs, Mohammed Mounir whom he considers to be his teacher. They both come from the same region and have much in common. Mounir is a big name, and tends to work alone.

But few months ago, Shando had a delightful song, he has the rights for it. "Ya Roman", Mounir really liked this song that Shando brought it to him. Now Shando tells his side of the story. Mounir first wanted the songs for himself, and he offered to buy it. Shando wasn't selling the song, and wanted instead to perform it as a duet with Mounir. Shando says that he has turned down offered from other artists to do the song with him, he named Tamer Hosny.

Then Mounir recorded the song with him, and things looked well. When the track came in Mounir's latest album--a good album by the way, Shando was in shock. The Song was introduced as by Mounir, and he has only given Shando 6 seconds of air time toward the end of the song. So in essence, those who mixed the song, made Shando look like a backup singer. Needless to say Shando feels he was mislead and that he was wronged. I would be too. This is not strange in the business, it happens many times when you work with egos.

Cannot wait to hear Mounir's side of the story if he chooses to respond to the press release by Shando. This is a really good song, too bad the drama has to surround it.
